I work on Internet of Things (IoT) technologies for the Smart Home. I’m electronic engineer specialized in computer networking with over 12 years of experience in R&D. I have a PhD in Engineering Sciences and have spent several years working in the IoT domain. My main expertise is on IoT networking technologies. I have largely been involved in R&D work on communication protocols and standards for networks of low power embedded devices. Basically what I like the most is to connect objects to the Internet.
I have recently co-founded ModoSmart, a company developing connected objects and solutions for the smart home. ModoSmart focuses on monitoring and control of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) for comfort and energy saving in private homes and business environments.
During my career I have built up expertise on collaborative projects funded by the European Union. I have been consultant in the research management area helping companies design and manage R&D projects. I’m currently technical manager of the project Smart, secure and user friendly heating monitoring and control for elderly people (SmartHeat), funded under the Active and Assisted Living Programme (AAL). I also occasionally work for the European Commission as external expert.
If you are interested in a collaboration or you want to have a chat on IoT technologies and Smart Home, feel free to contact me.
